Cabbage~Brussel Sprout Slaw

This slaw proves you do not need to buy the store bought prepared dressing which I bet has more ingredients that you cannot pronounce (let alone know what they even are) then ones you do.  Simple is key and more often than not more flavorful too…just a few quality components along with fresh vegetables and you have an elegant little dish with very little effort.  Enjoy!!

Cabbage~Brussel Sprout Slaw

  • 1/2 of a small purple organic cabbage~finely shredded
  • 1/2 cup of finely shredded brussel sprouts
  • 1/2 cup of finely shredded organic red onion
  • 1/2 cup keto mayo
  • 1/4 cup white balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tbs heavy cream
  • celtic sea salt
  • fresh cracked black pepper


  1. Obviously if you have a mandolin the process of finely slicing goes much quicker…just be careful If you don’t, no worries~give your knife a quick sharpen and you’re off and running. 
  2. Toss your veggies in a medium size bowl and set aside. 
  3. In a small bowl add your mayo, vinegar, cream and S&P~whisk together and check for seasoning. 
  4. Combine the two and let sit in the fridge to get to know each other
  5. And that’s it…I eat this throughout the day but what a great salad to have on hand with the up and coming warmer months.
